Free Cassandra Appleton

On 15th of March, Furian citizen Cassandra Appleton was arrested during a peaceful protest in Menastary. Hundreds of thousands of citizens in Menastary had already been protesting the abhorrent treatment of women in their country for quite some time, when they asked Cassandra Appleton for help. Miss Appleton agreed and peacefully took place in front of the presidential palace as a form of silent protest, when Menastary officials violently detained her.

The moment Furia heard of the arrest of Cassandra Appleton, a crisis-committee was created. The team exists of the Furian minister of foreign affairs (Rachel Willard) and the Furian minister of defense (Xià Cho) (and their teams), PR-specialists, experts in negotiation, a Menastary-expert and Mary Liu, an activist who worked closely with Cassandra. This crisis-committee will start negotiations with Menastary immediatly, to make sure Miss Applton will be released.

According to the human rights declaration of the UBN, all people enjoy freedom of speech and peaceful protest is always allowed. Miss Appleton only asserted her freedom of speech and her right to peaceful protest, which means she is innocent. Miss Appleton is not involved in any other issue between Menastary and it's neighbouring nations. She is merely an independent, peaceful activist, concerned with achieving equality for all women worldwide.
