Furia's Next Waterfelon

Crushing watermelons with your thighs is Furia’s national sport with a hidden meaning. In the past, Furia had a very patriarchal regime. This regime’s national fruit was the watermelon. To show that we have crushed the patriarchy, we have introduced the practice of crushing watermelons.

Every year, Furia organises a talent show, Waterfelons, to celebrate the beginning of our matriarchy.  In this talent show a panel of very qualified judges watches the contestants crush watermelons with their thighs. These strong women are judged on the amount of watermelons they are able to crush in a limited timeframe, but also on their style, technique and flair.

Candidates who want to compete have to send a video of themselves crushing watermelons with their thighs to Furia’s official website. Of all the candidates, 15 women will be chosen to compete in the Waterfelon of that year.

The winner will be able to call herself Waterfelon of the year, and will have the honour to represent Furian at UBN’s got talent.
